Families Need Choices: Support the Opening of the Stamford Charter School for Excellence
The mission of Stamford Charter School for Excellence (SCSE) will be to prepare young people in Stamford, Connecticut to compete for admission to and succeed in top public, private, and parochial high schools by cultivating their intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and ethical development.The Stamford Charter School for Excellence will accomplish this by offering a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum – which at the earliest grades will have an eye toward college preparation.The Stamford Charter School for Excellence will accomplish this in a supportive and caring environment that has high expectations for all students.
We, the undersigned, have either have an interest in sending our school-aged children to Stamford Charter School for Excellence and/or we support another public school option for the Stamford community.

The growth of this petition shows that the Stamford community is ready to engage with the State Board of Education on this proposal. I am finalizing the formal correspondence to be delivered to city officials to ensure they acknowledge the public demand for these additional school options.

EXCELLENT idea. The kids in Stamford deserve the same quality education as the Bronx school. Why wait any longer??
I hope this goes through. Our family is looking for exactly this kind of environment for our little ones.
That would be the best thing that could happen to CT to have these excellent leaders bring their expertise,knowledge to another community.
Yes please! We definitely need better public school choices in this city.
Stamford really needs more options for our kids. My son is struggling and I know this school would be a game changer for us.

BCSE has proven its ability to teach our children on an exemplary level. Expanding there reach has no down side. I think its a great idea. Anyway I can help please ask.
