To the Chair of Governors and the Interim Head Teacher

We the undersigned wish to lodge our strongest objections to the recent reports that Mrs. P******, Ms. T***** and Mrs. M***** are being made redundant in October 2011.

For many years the children, parents, guardians and carers of St Georges Lower School have been privileged to have access to helpful, empathetic, competent, creative, positive role modeling teaching and assistance from the inspirational teaching assistants named above.  

The manner in which the redundancies have been implemented will in our view have a serious detrimental effect on St Georges Lower School especially due to the number of recent changes already made.

Consequently we have grave concerns that replacing the members of staff named above with higher qualified members of staff will bring such qualities that these members of staff do and have done so for many years. Why not provide the named members of staff with the relevant training to gain the qualifications you are seeking?
