Plans to reduce opening hours of the foyer at Stevenage Interchange imminently are inappropriate.

We petition Stevenage Borough Council and its relevant partners to prevent these plans and commit to ensure Stevenage Interchange foyer remains fully open between the hours of 7am and 7pm daily (as a minimum). In particular, to ensure toilet facilities, waiting area and access to passenger information remains available and accessible for passengers, bus drivers and shop staff, for whom the provision of toilet facilities is a legal requirement of the HSE.

It took forever to open this building, we were promised a shop providing wheelchairs to enable those with limited mobility to get to the shops in town, but that has not materialised and show no sign of doing so, and now you want to reduce the opening hours. Do you actually want a public transport system in this town or not??

This is getting silly, as a bus driver I am working between the hours 5am to the likes of 12:30am and now have no access to the toilet facilities from 7pm which is not right if the council were planning this all along they should have made driver accessible toilets outside of the customer service area

It's bad enough the disabled toilet can't be accessed by a normal radar key, but to take away all toilet facilities, during those hours, is ridiculous.

I'm a bus driver and without these facilities we will be driving the bus continuously without a toilet which will be bad for our health and eventually makes the buses even more reliable due to sickness.

Toilets of some kind should be available for the full bus service times. It is this kind of thing that puts people off public transport especially buses in Hertfordshire!

Will just attract anti-social behaviour, urinating and foul behaviour in the area. Drivers require somewhere to go for personal needs which if they are unable will result in missing services.
