Steve Bletas, respected member of our community, former chairperson of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board, founder of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier Foundation, and Elected commissioner, is being asked to resign as commissioner by the administration and some commissioners of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board.

After 14 years of dedicated service to the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board, Mr. Bletas resigned as chairperson in May of 2012 for health reasons which have confined him to a wheel chair. Now as a sitting commissioner he is there to represent his electors and community.

Mr. Bletas has been instrumental in obtaining new schools, grants, privileges from the Quebec government (MELS) and from the Ville de Laval and has helped many parents with school and child related problems.

This petition is in support of Mr. Steve Bletas and all that he has done for us and the people who have signed this petition are making the following demands :

1. We the parents, are asking that the current administration of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board, the Commissioners and the administrators  cease their persecution of Mr. Bletas and end their constant demands to have Mr. Bletas resign from his legally elected position as commissioner for the SWLSB.

 2. We the parents also demand that the governing bodies of the SWLSB get back on track in running our school board and take care of matters involving our children and their education.
