I AM IN SUPPORT OF EQUAL EQUESTRIAN USE OF TRAILS AT STAUNTON STATE PARK The proposed new Staunton State Park located between Pine and Conifer is expected to open as the 43rd State Park in the Colorado State Parks System. The park is will open to the public after a full planning process is completed and park infra-structure has been constructed. The Master Plan is the first step in that public process. Equestrians are in jeopardy of losing out on the opportunity to utilize this beautiful new park just as we did at the new Cheyenne Mountain Park. In an effort to help preserve the historic use of horses on Colorado\'s public lands, The Front Range Back Country Horsemen are hosting informational pre-meetings to help equestrians work together to keep potential new trails open to horses. Come to the location nearest you to meet fellow equestrians, get informed, have light snacks & car pool to the State Park open house meetings so equestrians can be seen and heard in the planning process. Together we can save our equestrian trails. For more information goto: http://www.frontrangebackcountryhorsemen.org/Staunton.htm

seeing this much momentum behind keeping the trails open for horses is honestly incredible and i didnt expect it to take off like this. it shows how much this matters to all of us and im really grateful for the support. now we have to make sure the people in charge actually listen during the planning process.

horse riding is a huge part of colorado history. why would they block us from using our own state parks? leave the trails open.

Keep equestrians in the mix. Trails are for everyone not just hikers and bikers.

Ridiculous. We pay taxes just like everyone else. Horses belong on these trails.
