Recently there has been a proposal for an aerial adventure park to be built in Park County. An aerial adventure park resembles a large jungle gym or tree fort, and consists of a series of balance bridges, ladders, and short length zip lines, organized into courses by their level of difficulty, as are the courses on a ski hill. The location that is under consideration is on Delwood Drive, and is a wooded 35 acre parcel located off of the CR 43 and Hwy 285 interchange. This location was chosen for its large size, as 4 acres will be used for the aerial adventure park, 1 to 2 acres will be used for access and parking, and the remaining 29 acres will surround the course and remain as open wilderness. The interchange provides safe navigation to the park from Hwy 285. We believe that this will be a very positive addition to the community and would encourage anyone who agrees to lend their signature to this petition. The Board of County Commissioners will meet on the morning of February 26th at 501 Main Street in Fairplay.

Please feel free to attend the hearing and show your support for the park!

This would be so awesome for the kids in our area. We have nothing like this around here.

KEEP IT LOCAL. Sick of driving all the way to the city just for some outdoor recreation.

Why not? It gets people outside and active. Better than everyone just sitting around on their phones.

Seems like a great use of that land. Not like anyone else is doing anything with it right now.
