Because Lynchburg College's and Liberty University's graduation occurred on the same day, President Garren and the Cabinet decided to move graduation from May 14 to May 7th. Because of this change of dates, seniors will not have senior week and will not receive their diplomas at graduation. Underclassmen are also negatively impacted by the change with the exam schedule being compressed into five days, having to attend class on a Saturday due to Student Scholar Showcase, and not having a reading day for study.
