West Hartford High Schools Unite For Lights A group of West Hartford high school students, parents, teachers and community leaders have joined together in support of bringing lights to the turf athletic fields at Conard and Hall public high schools. The project has the support of West Hartford’s Athletic Director, as well as the administrators and sports coaches at both schools. The project also has the support of The Grounds, Communtiy of Concern, Hopeworks, West Hartford Substance Abuse Council Both Hall and Conard PTOs It would be funded through a combination of private donations and state and federal development assistance.
Why should you sign this petition?
Lights will foster school and community spirit
More students and parents wlill be able to attend night games
Night games will provide a fun well supervised night time activities for our teenagers.
New CIAC rules prevent football teams to host a playoff game unless they have permanent lights

The administration is finally reviewing our proposal for the new field lights. Call your town council representative today to demand they approve the funding plan.

would actually give the kids something to do on a friday night besides just wandering around. really hope this happens.
Finally. Its about time we got some decent facilities for our kids.
Friday night lights would be a huge deal for this town. Other schools have them already so why are we still in the dark?? Lets get it done.
my son plays varsity and hates that they miss out on the atmosphere of night games. so many other towns do this, time to catch up.
Go Conard! would love to see games under the lights.

RIDICULOUS that our teams cant even host playoffs because of this. fix it asap.
