St.Mary's Parents and Community stand united against the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic School Board in their decision to revoke a previous agreement for playground relocation/installation. The 4 steel playground climbers were damaged during construction in the removal and the board will not support replacement or installation of other equipment despite their agreement to relocate the equipment originally.

Please show your support by signing our petition, our kids deserve a place to play!

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have jumped behind this cause. This momentum belongs entirely to the community members who refused to let our children go without a playground.

The School Board needs to stop developing road blocks, red tape and excuses. There are grants specific to this type of thing and the board needs to make this a priority and follow through on the contract obligations.

This decision not only deprives the students of a fun and safe area to play, but it also sets a very poor example for them. This decision says that promises don't need to be kept. Is this what the Board wants to teach children?

I am a grandparent of three children at this school. The history I have been told is very distressing. The principal and Board are obligated to keep their promises.

st marys had the worst playground of all the schools in the area. if the school doesn't get better parents aren't going to want to send their kids to st marys.

What a shameful example to our children. So much for the Board's vision: Nurturing faith, illuminating minds, inspiring hearts, and empowering hands - we are working together to transform our world. You are doing the complete opposite.

The company who removed them should pay for part of the new equipment, it's only fair! Our kids loved the equipment, it enriches their school experience.

It's unfortunate that the equipment was damaged during removal. It would be really nice to have new equipment for the children to play .

I'm sure we can figure this out soon
