Exeter University has some fantastic sporting opportunities and facilities which we are lucky as students to be able to access, however many of these facilities are only available on Streatham Campus. Many of the students on St Luke's Campus are members of the gym but rarely have the time or energy to access the amazing facilities available to us after a 40 minute walk. These students pay membership fees from £246 to use the gym, which is fantastic value for all the equipment at the Russell Seal Fitness Centre but the reality is that many people are paying for the use of equipment that they don't access. To support it's hard-working students at St Luke's Campus, the university should be open-minded and realistic about the use of the sporting facilities and make available a separate membership at a reduced cost allowing access only to the local facilities at St Luke's sports centre. We are students after all so our money is precious.
