[This is an electronic version of the petition presented to the South Harrison Democrat Executive Committee at the Township Meeting on Nov. 12, 2008. This was presented in response to alleged threats made by candidate-elect Robert Gaines towards one of our police officers. Please see the "Related Articles" section for findings to date on these allegations.]
We, the undersigned, are concerned residents of South Harrison Township, who urge our leaders to act now for what is in the best interest of our community by recommending that Robert Gaines not accept his elected position for Township Committee in 2009 and also to resign his position from Economic Development Committee on which he currently serves. Although we address this petition to the South Harrison Democrat Executive Committee, this is a non-political request based on what the community thinks would show ethical leadership and decision-making in South Harrison Township.
