We need to show London Southend Airport the amount of support there is for the Southend Airshow to return!

Since 2012, no May bank holiday weekend has been the same in Southend. The much loved annual airshow that ran for 27 consecutive years was cancelled in 2013 due to council cutbacks.
Now we are planning to bring it back to our skies! Bigger and better than ever!
Exactly what our newly appointed city status deserves!
There's a long road ahead and a lot of work to be done but the team are determined to make this happen!
Over the coming months more information will be released and our new website will be launched!

The amount of people trying to watch at the airport and surrounding areas to see the planes that were on stay over for Bournemouth and Eastbourne’s airshows was amazing but also dangerous!! Bring the airshow back to Southend then we wouldn’t have this issue!!!
The Airshow was the only reason I ever came to Southend. I have amazing memories of past shows, especially seeing concord. The City of Southend is the perfect venue for a prestigious air show. The people love it, the pilots love it and business deserves the boost…
It’s wanted by the majority of residents and visitors. A huge attraction especially now we are a City!! If Clacton and Eastbourne can afford it, why can’t we ??? Bring it back - surely it generates considerable income and kudos to the CITY !!!
After seeing the interest at Southend Airport at the weekend whilst they hosted the Typhoons, BBMF & Red Arrows, it's clear how missed our air show is! Other seaside towns have them..... give the people back what they want!
Should never have stopped the airshow, was such a popular event and bought hundreds of thousands of tourists to the town. This should be a top priority to bring this back, even more so now we’re a city. Come on Southend Council, make this happen!
Southend needs it's airshow back!!!
Please bring back the airshow, it was a monumental event that kept the town alive

I use to go every year had a disabled badge and use to park on the sea front. Made a super day with all the stoles and then had fish and chips before main being the great air show let’s hope they can bring it back please ❤️
