The Simmons Hall music practice rooms aren't soundproof. The noise disrupts studying scholars and often compromises the practicing quality of resident musicians. Moreover, the Atherton practice rooms are acoustically insulated. Students in Atherton can use the rooms in Simmons, but not vice versa. We paid a $25 fee for access to both halls, but since this is an apparent impossibility, the Honors College is obligated to provide an analogous product. This process would be cheap, quick, and mutually beneficial.

Literally cant focus on my essays for like 5 minutes without hearing scales being played next door. Fix this please.

Finally someone said it. I cant even practice my piano pieces properly because the sound just bleeds into the whole hallway. So annoying.

JUST PUT UP SOME FOAM PANELS. It is not that complicated.

Totally unfair that we pay the same fee but get way worse facilities than Atherton. This is ridiculous.

The echo in those rooms is awful. You can hear everything through the walls. Needs better insulation asap.

Hard to get any actual practice done when I feel like im bothering everyone in the library. Just want to play without feeling guilty.
