Hi everyone !

My name is Sophia Marie Jimenez but you can call me Sophia! I am a first year here at IWU majoring in Biology on the Pre-Dental Track. I am also apart of IWU Athletic Communications Team here where I take pictures, videos, run social media accounts, and statistics for all 26 sport teams throughout the year.

Getting involved in student senate is something I have been looking forward to since I first arrived here. During high school I was involved in our student council and student government while having multiple different leadership positions within both as well as other things. I enjoy listening to others and their opinions as well as hearing concerns about how we can make IWU a better place and a more inclusive community. Coming from the city of the Chicago I know many things can get crazy and often feel like your voice isn't heard or left out but it is truly important to me that I can become one of your reliable sources here and we can talk about any issues.

If a senator I hope to become more involved and establish better relationships within the IWU community as well as my peers. I look forward to bringing to the table my communication skills, team work, creativity, dedication, and leadership abilities to help make IWU a safe place you can call home.
