There is an ongoing rat problem in the Massapequa preserve and surrounding area. The rat population has increased substantially and has become a danger to the health and well being of homeowners in the adjacent area. Calls to Town of Oyster Bay have been ignored. This petition will be sent to town and state facilities and hopefully result in an eradication.
The momentum we have built makes it impossible for the Town of Oyster Bay to ignore our families any longer. They have tried to push us aside for too long but they are about to learn that we are not going anywhere until these rats are gone.

Heard of a problem a couple of years ago in surrounding areas, experienced it this past summer. We need assistance in dealing with this infestation.

There is a horrible rat problem all over Massapequa/Seaford/Wantagh. Towns need to pay attention and do something. Exterminators for individual homes can only do so much. For the amount we pay in taxes we should not have to worry about rats in our yards.

Disgusted with the rat problem with the extremely high taxes we pay, some of the rats are as big as cats. FYI we don’t live in NYC

Agree with most! Taxes are way too high not to correct this problem.
