With the ever growing number of forgotten ex service personnel whose lives have been affected by homelessness it is time for the government to step in and help.
We all think they deserve better after going through the traumatic experience of war
The Soldiers Off The Street Organisation have come up with one solution with the following:
RAF Sealand
RAF Sealand is a former Royal Air Force station in Flintshire, north Wales.
Under defence cuts announced in 2004 RAF Sealand was completely closed in April 2006.
There are probably many places within the United Kingdom closed down and empty but lets start with RAF Sealand!
RAF Sealand is not derelict and has all the facilities to offer the best treatment in line with the Military Covenant that the government should honour with all ex service personnel.
RAF Sealand could open in a very short time to accommodate homeless ex service personnel many with alcoholic and Drug addiction with many of them with mental health problems brought on by wars that the government has sent them to.
Soldiers Off The Street (S.O.T.S)

the momentum behind this is honestly pretty wild and it shows just how many people care about getting these guys off the streets. its really starting to sink in that we can actually push for raf sealand to open up as a real solution.

About time we did something for our vets. They put their lives on the line for us and the government just forgets them. FIX IT.

My own brother came back a different person and struggled for years. We need to give them a place to recover properly.

RAF Sealand is sitting there doing nothing. Use it before it falls into total disrepair. Its the least we can do.

These men fought for our country and this is how they get treated? Disgraceful. Put them in the empty bases now.
