This is a petition on behalf of the forgotten ex service personnel that have slipped through the net and whose lives have been affected by homelessness. Everyone is helping the serving and ex service personnel that have been involved in the current conflicts which is the right thing to do, but what about the ex service personnel that fought in the Gulf war, Falklands, Ireland, Bosnia and any other postings in hostile lands away from home. It is a fact that more ex service personnel from the Falklands have committed suicide then was lost in action, we ask why this has been allowed and what was put into place to try and stop this terrible loss of life by those that put their own lives on the line only to come home and forgotten with a lot of them ending up living on the streets of Britain. We at Soldiers off the street are doing our best to help ex service personnel living on the streets but we are only a small charity and can see this problem growing out of all proportion with the cutbacks coming in service personnel. Enough is enough it is time for you the government to step in and help the homeless ex service personnel many suffering with PTSD that leads to drug and alcohol abuse making them a lost cause in many people’s eyes. We are willing to help the forgotten homeless ex service personnel and have a lot of volunteers but we need your help!!!

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people care about our veterans because this response has been far beyond what I ever imagined. We are approaching two hundred and fifty signatures and that momentum belongs entirely to the kindness you have shown. If we can reach that goal today it will send such a strong message to those in power.

So many people just walk past them without a second thought. Keep fighting for them.

About time someone did something. Unbelievable that we treat our heroes like this.

My dad served in the Gulf and he struggles every day. Breaks my heart seeing these guys on the street. They gave everything for us!

Been there seen it. PTSD is a real killer and these lads deserve so much better.

DISGRACEFUL. The government should be ashamed of themselves letting this happen to the people who kept us safe.
