To The New York State Liquor Authority & Elected Officials:
Governor Andrew Cuomo, Senator Kristen Gillibrand, Senator Charles Schumer, NY Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, NY State Senator Daniel Squandron, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, & Councilwoman Margaret Chin

The Petition of certain citizens of the State of New York residing in Community Board 3 and Manhattan County oppose the application of a full liquor license, 2am-4am closing times, rooftop closing at 2am, dj/live music, 450 occupancy for the private membership club Ludlow (Soho) House @ 139-141 Ludlow Street, in accordance with CB3 policy of saturated areas and the NY State Liquor Authority 500 foot rule.

The Petitioners request that the NY State Liquor Authority deny this application for a full on-premise liquor license because of the degraded quality of life, the result of so many licensed establishments within close proximity to each other, overwhelming pedestrian and vehicular traffic, patrons congregating in the street itself, late night horn honking and overwhelming noise emanating from businesses and from patrons as they move between businesses.

(Chinese Translation)

Enough is enough. Lower east side is already way too loud and crowded. My kids cant sleep with all the noise at 3am.

Do we really need another club here? Street is already a nightmare to walk down on weekends.
