The authorities officially confirmed the changes to the social security agreement and our contributions will finally be protected. I am overwhelmed knowing that my friends and colleagues will no longer lose their hard-earned savings after returning home. We achieved this because we refused to accept a system that was fundamentally …

Current Social Security agreement between India and Germany is not in favour of Indians if they spend more than 5 years in Germany. We must demand amendment of new social security law to include following

  • Remove 5 years term restriction to claim SSA
  • After 60 months of SSA payment, it should not be automatic to fall in compulsory German pension scheme. which is purely unidirectional.
  • Indian Employee must give acceptance if he/she likes to be part of German govt pension scheme irrespective of employment period
  • Transfer SSA fund to Indian EPF or Pensions accounts of employees who moved to India
  • There must be nominee for SSA irrespective of the marital status
  • Two parts of the SSA should be paid (both employer and employee contribution)

I have been reading the messages from so many of you who are losing thousands of euros to a system that refuses to pay back what you earned. Seeing these stories confirmed that I am not the only one feeling cheated by this outdated agreement after working hard abroad for years.

Watching this count climb reminds me of the hundreds of us losing our hard-earned contributions every single day. I need everyone to get the link in front of one more person so we can hit this hundred signature milestone before we approach the officials.

I raised this serious concern before Parliamentary Delegation in Frankfurt Germany. Honorable Loksabha Speaker Shri Om Birla Ji, and Honorable Congress MP Shri Shashi Tharoor Ji assured that they will ask Indian government to raise this matter before German authorities.

I am signing this petition since I believe that the employee must receive the benefit of amount he or she paid for pension even if they have to move back to India after 5 years. Govt is mandating pension scheme for employees for future protection, and so it has to be paid to everybody no matter where they live.

You can ask a question about what is the meaning of social security when we don’t get any benifits when we are unemployed in India after paying years of social security in Germany

I need my PF saving back, I can't wait as per new rule. If there are anychanges in the rules, it should be applicabke to who start from that day. This rule was signed after many spent 5+ years. This is unfare...!!!

This is not at all acceptable to any NRI. We have paid our hard earned money to this SSA and this should be helpful for us in the retirement. When the life expectancy of an Indian is around, how can agreement be made get the pensions from 67 years. This is un ethical of German Govt to hold back the pension amount, which we have paid.

I agree with all the amendments. I would like to emphasize on the 3 amendment, where in the Employee must give his/her approval. I wish, atleast German govt had considered this basic but most important employee's right.

Yes, I am strongly concern about this. It must be paid back once we leave permanently to India irrespective years.
