Okay people as some of you may know our 14 year old son wore this shirt that obviously offended the school system. He had to change his shirt and was told he could not wear that shirt anymore so I went up to the school and had a meeting with the principal. Well I myself was also shut down with the discussion. Nothing at all is mentioned in the dress code hand book so we are taking this further. I need friends, family, anybody who wants to back our situation and give us/ your child the right to wear a t-shirt that is not an obscene shirt but it has a gun on it. It has a name brand of a gun on it. If students can wear holes in their jeans, short, skirts, low cut blouses and gay pride shirts ,then my son or any other student that wants to wear a decent gun shirt should also have that right and not have it taken from him.
We are going to school board meeting tomorrow at 5pm and argue this matter. If you want to help sign your name in comments with full name age(wanting all age groups)and city state. Please share like crazy but note to go to my page to sign petition. Please.
The school board did not provide the answers we were looking for at the meeting. I am currently reviewing the policy manual again because my son deserves to wear his shirt without being singled out.

Seeing this kind of support for my son is overwhelming and proves we are not alone in this fight for fairness. It gives me even more strength to walk into that school board meeting and demand that our kids get the respect they deserve.

This shirt in no way promotes violence or crime, this is a simple brand shirt and this person wants to support their preffered brand

By law our rights cannot b taken away. Not allowing my son his freedom of speech is going against his constitutional rights.

It is a shirt! It's sad that our society is teaching our children to be scared of a picture or offended, my wife and myself I've made sure that our children know that they still have the right to be offended and move on with their life! This boy's school day should not have been interrupted because of a picture on his shirt. This is a truly sad day in America!

If there is nothing wrong with you allowing students to wear holes in their paints, gay pride shirts, or holding hands with the same sex in your county schools, why is there something so offensive to guns printed on a shirt?
