People should support this because as U.S. citizens it is our right to freely convey any message we want whether it is political or religious or even any form of opinion. Our first amendment tells us we have the freedom of speech and expression so by the prohibiting these messages you're violating our constitutional rights. In 1965, in the ruling of Tinker vs. Des Moines, the Supreme Court ruled that students do not lose their rights when they cross the schoolhouse gates. This petition was started so that the school board will see all the people that want to take back their constitutional rights as much as I do. This is the first step in taking back our rights as US citizens and if this ceases to work they will be more to come. For every person who signs this they'll not only be asserting their constitutional rights but they'll be showing the school board how much their rights mean to them. We can make a difference and change this unjust law if enough people sign, so if you want change as much as I do you'll sign the petition.
The momentum we have built makes it clear that the Chambersburg School Board cannot hide from the Constitution any longer. These officials are terrified of students thinking for themselves and this surge in support proves they are losing their grip.

This dress code is unnecessary. It just brings kids down and if we have to wear uniforms it would tear us apart.
