Neighbors,
We are 1 inch short of the 5 foot setback requirement for generators for Arlington County. (This means that Arlington County requires that generators be placed 5 feet from the property line. Ours would be 4'11" away.) This means we need to go before the Zoning Board to get our generator installation approved.
Community support is often important in cases like these, so I am asking you to sign this petition that states you approve the installation of the generator.
We are planning to install a small unit (probably around 11 kW) that will primarily be used to run our sump pumps in the event of an outage. The placement will be in a fenced-in yard on the East side of our home at 5077 27th St. N.

As a owner in the neighborhood with frequent power outages I understand the benefit of having a power generator and hope you allow this variance

Go for it. 11kw will power considerable more than a sump pump so be ready to defend other needs with county. Good luck!

This is a responsible neighbor who will certainly make sure that any and all noise ir environmental concerns with the generator are addressed immediately.
