The crosswalk at Woodbine and Milverton is inadequate and is regularly ignored by motorists. We need a permanent set of traffic lights at this intersection to change behaviours, slow motorists down to an acceptable speed and make our community safer for all.

Motorists who do not live in our neighbourhood treat Woodbine Ave like it is the 401. Aggressive drivers regularly exceed the speed limit and run the crosswalk at Woodbine and Milverton Avenues, where many people cross daily. Accidents are frequent and it is only a matter of time before someone who lives or works in our neighbourhood is seriously injured or killed.

Please join this petition to request traffic lights at the intersection of Woodbine and Milverton. Help make our community safer for all.

I've lived in this area for 12 years. I am a father of two young children. I am concerned about the safety of all our families. I do not want to see someone seriously injured or killed simply because we did not take action to get the City of Toronto to do the sensible thing. Anyone who lives in this neighbourhood knows that aggressive motorists are the greatest threat to the safety we should all feel when walking down the street or crossing at Woodbine and Milverton.
