The local council is still ignoring our warnings about the massive influx of traffic these new housing developments will dump on Spring Mill Road. My inbox is full of your stories about near misses and reckless drivers but they continue to pretend that a temporary speed monitor is a real fix for a permanent danger.

Spring Mill is already a disaster. Adding 21 more homes will make it even worse. Yesterday it took me 15 minutes to get from Black Walnut to Germantown Pike. Without a plan to relieve some of this congestion, we cannot add to it.
On Spring Mill road between Butler and Ridge, people usually drive over the speed limit by going up to speeds of 60mph plus. Day and night, motorcyclists and sports cars fly down Spring Mill. This needs to stop along with the dead squirrels I have to pick up and bury.
We asked about stop signs and bumps a long time ago with no result. Were told that the new rules do not allow stop signs.... So we hope this might help. Seen cars doing 60 MPH, especially during night. Stop signs and /or speed bumbs would be the solution. Keeping our fingers crossed
I live almost at the corner of Dechert & Taylor Roads. Since there are no sidewalks (which is another issue and one I don't think will ever be resolved), when my children and I walk through the neighborhood, it has to be in the street. I have lost count of how many times we have almost been hit by drivers speeding through the neighborhood. Thank you for doing this.
I live at the cross street of Spring Mill and Tracey Road. Cars fly by the street. It is unsafe for my kids to stand at the corner to wait for the bus in the morning. There have been numerous accidents because of people speeding down Spring Mill Road. The addition of stop signs will help this problem!
Needs to be enforced. Way too many drivers traveling above the speed limit.
The school buses speed down Taylor all the time. They're as bad as regular commuters cutting through...

I strongly support this petition. I live on Spring Mill Road and have witnessed the speeding cars on a daily basis. Our grandchildren cannot go out to play because of them. Something must be done to ensure the safety of ourselves and our families. In addition to the speeding, large trucks are ignoring the weight limit and are using this road as a cut through street.
