To Councillor Anthony Perruzza,

We are reaching out to you in the hope you can recognize the need to enhance the offerings of Strathburn Park to our community.

The joy to put on a pair of skates to go skating enables us to embrace one of the activities associated with one of the traditions of Canadian winters. Community members of Humberlea would like to have an outdoor skating rink at Strathburn Park. We already have an outdoor rink being used in spring/summer for floor hockey which is always utilized and this would be the perfect space for our community members to enjoy the area for winter skating.

Currently we have to travel outside our neighborhood to go into other communities in order to enjoy a skating adventure. It has been extremely challenging to book in other neighbourhoods as they are already densely populated. Now with new restrictions it has been even more of a struggle.

We appreciate your attention in adding this addition to our community for all to enjoy.
