The Quarry Hill Recreation Reserve is good, but there is so much space and it would be great to have a skatepark there. Even a small space for people to enjoy skating and scooting would be awesome!
Everyone who has signed this petition and who lives in Bendigo agrees and asks the City of Greater Bendigo Council to make it happen.
I spent the weekend walking through Quarry Hill and seeing so many kids riding their bikes on the uneven pavement reminded me why I started this. I am currently putting together a formal request to show the council that our neighborhood is ready for a dedicated space.

Seeing this much momentum for a local skatepark is overwhelming because I know how much my own kids need a safe place to ride. Your enthusiasm proves that our neighborhood is ready for this change and I am feeling incredibly hopeful about our next conversation with the council.

the time it takes to travel to mcivor or eaglehawk has stopped me from skating many times. A park in Quarry Hill would be great especially for kids and people without cars. It would also be a great community boost for the area with all the surrounding schools

What a great initiative. A wonderful way for the youth in the community to connect, while learning that persistence pays off.

Eaglehawk skate park is too far to drive the kids, there's nothing this side of town

Bendigo needs more skate spaces in local neighbourhoods where young people can master the art of skating. As their skill and independence increases they will be able to more fully access the existing excellent facility in eaglehawk and mcivor road. Skating is now an Olympic sport. Let’s be ready for the opportunity to get more kids active and engaged in healthy outdoor activity. Skating can be for regional young people what surfing is for coastal ones. Let’s make it possible.

That would be a great addition to the quarry Hill neighbourhood. The old church on the hill community would gladly support this venture.

It would be so beneficial to include a skate park - it would be e trembly utilised in our community
