Final supporters
There are TONS of skaters or scooter riders and also bmx riders all around the Fuquay Varina area and there is no skate park nearby that is not way to expensive. For example in holly springs there is DDASC but its $27 for 3 hours thats crazy but the ramps are awsome ,but i dont go alot because of the price. Then there is jack marly skate park and its free but there is only 3 ramps. The only one with good ramps and is cheap is sk8 cary but its 45 minutes away and i cant drive 45 mins every day of the week.So then it forces us to go ride staircases,rails, and benches in town just so we can ride because we have no other decent place to scooter and skate. So thats why I am making this because us skaters NEED a skatepark to go to so we dont get in trouble for riding on benches because thats the only thing we can ride.And there are PLENTY of open lots to put one and like where the old car place was there are PLENTY of places. So if you read this PLEASE PLEASE share this with everyone and tell them to sign it please.

I really never imagined this many people would care about having a local place to ride. Seeing the support grow like this is honestly overwhelming and gives me so much hope for our town.

Fuquay needs more recreational spaces for the youth. A skate park would be a wonderful addition especially since the town has done such a great job tearing down DIY skate spots built by hard working towns people throughout the years.
YES!!! there are old car lots downtown that would be perfect. As an older woman with a grown sk8boarder these kids need this and I will gladly volunteer to help get this started!!
My name is Lucas I’m a 14 year old skater and I don’t have the money to go pay to skate so I’m stuck skateing on the road which is not safe
Apex skatepark is a haul for recreational activity. My kid is getting quite good and it would be nice to have a place locally for him to ride and develop his skill.
If we show this to the mayor then I think that they will build a skatepark. I know someone who works for the town parks and rec and he said that they were going to build a skatepark at one point but there wasn't enough public interest at the time. If we show that over 100 people want a skatepark then they will build one.
Lets go!
