After the sickening display of ignorance and insensitivity from Simon Cowell, April 17th, 2007 on American Idol, there needs to be a public apology made from American Idol, Fox Network, 19 Entertainment, and whoever else is involved with the show.
After a contestant expressed his sympathy and worries for the survivors of the Virginia Tech Massacre, Mr. Cowell rolled his eyes and turned away from the stage.
This is not acceptable. If the healing process is to begin, someone in the public eye such as Simon should not be allowed to do something so insensitive on television.
Sign this petition if you want an apology from Simon Cowell for the rude, uncalled-for way he reacted to Chris Richardson's message about the VT Massacre.
I am spending my time digging through the archives to force a response out of the suits at Fox. Cowell thinks he can brush off this disgusting display of arrogance but he has another thing coming. We are not letting this slide until he addresses the cold indifference he showed the victims.

The momentum behind this petition proves that people are tired of Simon Cowell acting like his cruelty is entertainment. Fox and the producers think they can ignore us but this surge of support shows exactly how many of us demand accountability for that disgusting display.
