Clay township, what use to be a peaceful area has a serious situation that needs to be addressed!
The Way Inn also known as Rodeway Inn located at 52624 Indiana, IN-933, South Bend, IN 46637 is not only an eye sore, it is a health and safety concern to our community. Police are called to this location several times a week for a variety of issues. Take a drive through the parking lot and you will not only see the upper level balcony around the building to look unsafe, but you will also notice multiple dirty used mattresses laying all around the property, windows that have been boarded up for some time now, trash, broken glass, used needless, ect... Not to mention the type of residents that are staying there. There is talk of drug deals and prostitution going on there as well. We need to stand up and show our concerns! This place needs to close the doors for good!!! This is a huge health and safety concern for our youth in the area!

This establishment has brought crime into our neighborhood. Not only has there been multiple violent crimes on their property we have been the victim of crime from people residing there. Removing this establishment would drastically improve the safety of everyone who lives in the neighborhoods in the surrounding area.
I have lived here for 39 years with this hotel as Days Inn for most. Never had an issue until new owners. There is a church and school less than a block away and I worry for the students.
This place is not safe for the neighborhood. I personally have witnessed drug & prostitution transactions happen on that property.
It's amazing that a residence gets letters and even fined for long grass, but a place like this continues to exist. I'm sure they have been cited numerous times, but there comes a point when enough is enough!
i work in walking distance from this place it is not good for anyone including the people living there. drugs prostituion and who knows what else. Clay twp is better than this.
We as a neighborhood no longer can tolerate this. Have people going around from there scoping out houses.

I live a short distance from the INN and Clay middle school is a few steps away. This place is a nuisance and a threat to community safety. It must be shut down for the sake of the community who have chosen this area to be our homes.
