What person in their right mind would agree with Almost Home, this petition or anyone supporting them? My wife was an eye witness. She left the shelter in tears it was so horrible. The evidence speaks for itself. If you have not read the official court documents for this case, I encourage you to do so before signing this ludicrous petition. There are criminal charges pending against this organization. What kind of shelter has a sign stating, no cameras beyond this point. Pretty obvious. Please people, get the facts.

People from Almost home should be the ones in Jail for how they abuse animals. They get all the animals taken away and are looking to just open up in a different town so they can continue the abuse.

So the great news is nothing posted here really does anything but show that a bunch of people can fight about a serious fact: media talley is facing 43 counts of animal cruelty. We don't need to attack her for being in trouble and if you feel concerned about the safety of the animals - write the courts and petition the town's using the appropriate channels. If we are discussing real problems (besides waiting for 43 warrants to come down) I would question the $250 adoption fee and lack of paper work to justify these costs. Almost Home should face an audit and might welcome such help to get back on track. A non profit that charges $200 more than most kennels/shelters and rescues that have all the proper documentation is very very telling. Besides animal cruelty could there be additional issues with paper work? The only reason I'm asking is because it cost Money for a lawyer to do all that running around and this was not a winnable case, 43 counts of animal abuse and they have the guts to ask for a background check on adoption applicants?
