I have spent my mornings talking with the facility managers to explain why this closure hits our young athletes so hard. Their silence is frustrating but it only motivates me to keep pushing them for a real answer before the holidays arrive.

Seeing this level of support for our swimmers proves that our local community understands exactly what is at stake for our athletes. We have truly gathered enough momentum to show the Recreational Trust that these closures are a mistake for everyone who relies on the water.

Just keep the main pool open at least. Totally unfair to the competitive team.
A lot of us rely on the pool to blow off steam during the holidays. Bad decision by the trust.
my daughter has training. she cant just stop for weeks at a time! rethink this.
Seriously? The pools are the only place to go around here in winter.
Ridiculous! The kids need something to do when they are off school. Why punish the swimmers?

This is ridiculous. People actually want to stay active over the holidays and now they have nowhere to go. Keep them open.
