Dear Chad Road friend and neighbor, As a resident of this community for nearly 13 years, I am pretty frustrated, as I am sure we all are, at waking up on any given day with no water service. Since we all pay our bills monthly, it would be nice to depend on this (what has become) necessary indoor utility, wouldn\'t you agree I took it upon myself in October of last year to write to the General Manager of SVUD in accordance with their customer complaint policy. He replied, citing all sorts of reasons for our mainline breaks, but agreed to present my letters at the March 2007 Board of Commissioners meeting. In his letter he stated that he included our neighborhood on the list of mainlines to be replaced, but could not guarantee that this would correct our problem. I say we find a more satisfying resolution. I think the water line breakages in our community should be thouroughly investigated until a more permanent solution is found. I will send the collected signatures, along with a new letter to the General Manager back to SVUD once again on our behalf to try to motivate a running water improvement program in our neighborhood. I will also be providing all of my neighbors with copies of my letters, his reply, copies of any future correspondence and my contact information so that we can get this issue resolved once and for all.
