On April 10th, Dianna Sharp lost her life protecting a second grade student in the crosswalks at Scioto Darby Elementary School. Without her bravery, the youth may likely have died. Her selfless concern for the welfare of a child is a testament to all crossing guards, teachers and administrators who devote themselves to Hilliard\'s children. Dianna Sharp is a hero. Her sacrifice should not be forgotten. It should inspire our own daily commitment to helping others. Every moment we spend in the service of another is a moment that improves our community and schools. By signing this petition, I ask the City of Hilliard to rename Scioto Darby Road to Sharp Memorial Avenue so that our community can remember her, and all teachers, for years to come and be inspired to greater compassion in our own lives.
