Perhaps you have children at St Joseph's now in primary school and are wanting them to continue 7 - 10. Perhaps you are worried about where they will go for Secondary. Perhaps you don't want to send your children to boarding school when they're just 11years old. Perhaps you are a family with children at WCC and haven't enrolled in St Joseph's because they would have to return in Year 7 onwards. Perhaps you're a family with children about to start their education and would like a choice of school for your children to attend.

Of course Weipa needs another choice of where people can send their children for secondary school. Currently only choices anyone has that live here is send children to WCC for secondary or send them away to do secondary. I can say from experience having to send a child away is very very hard. Miss a lot in their life. Not fair to any parent or child.
I moved to cairns for my daughter to attend senior school as we were not happy with WCC education. I believe Weipa needs a great senior school to keep the families together in Weipa.
Weipa definitely needs an option. In saying that WCC has offered fantastic opportunities for my son and hope that St Joeys offers above and beyond when my Daughter gets to high school with the values, respect and beliefs of a Catholic school.
I firmly believe in offering families access to Chrstian faith based education close to home. Eleven is too young to be sent away to continue that education.
A private secondary college for the Weipa Community would encourage more families to live in the Community! What a fantastic initiative
Would love to see the private high school in Weipa go ahead to benefit my grandchildren & others

Due to lack of option I have had to send 1 child out of Weipa for schooling. Would love to see a private high school here in Weipa so that I don't have to send out my youngest child in a few years.
