Did you know, that if there are 300 Kids leave Kinnegad each week to attend a different secondary school, based on the current €25 fee each week per child, this comes to €7500 of your money leaving the town. This figure is over €33,000 per MONTH... Not to mention the Carbon Footprint this is leaving behind, and travel time wasted by your children.
Think of the extra time your child could have to play with without having to travel out of the locality to go to school!
How many jobs could be created for our local community if a secondary school was to be built.

The travel costs and the hours our children lose on the road are weighing heavily on all of us. I have been reaching out to local representatives to force a conversation on this because the current situation is unsustainable and quiet progress is exhausting but necessary.

Seeing this gain traction reminds me why we started this fight despite the long days and the silence from those in charge. It is exhausting to keep pushing for something that should have been here years ago, but your persistence gives me the fuel to keep going.

Would be fantastic for the kids in kinnegad as bus hire and lift sharing has put a strain and extra cost on parents ,and would benefit the community of kinnegad
Kinnegad really needs a secondary school. I don't want to have to send my kids out of the town to secondary school. It will be too late for my eldest but my 2 girls would benefit greatly.
Largest national school in Westmeath with no local secondary school - it is just a no brainer! Lobbying for a Secondary school in Kinnegad has gone on for way too long and it needs to be taken much more seriously. Anything that we can do to make this a reality should be done and this is just the start. More community involvement needed to get this over the line.
It would great to see a secondly school in kinnegad, as you would not need to get a bus and could walk to school. The village of kinnwgad would get more business with school lunches.
We badly need a secondary school in kinnegad... I'm a mammy of three children an dread the secondary school travel already an they are only currently in primary...

We definitely need a Secondary School in Kinnegad to meet the needs of the surrounding area. Preferably a non-denominational Secondary School. To have to travel to Mullingar or further a field is not acceptable for our growing community.
