St. Ursula's All Through School
To all Bristol North parents who will be applying for Secondary School places for their children in 2014 - we need your support.
The shortage of Secondary School places in our area is getting worse. As we have seen a huge increase in Primary demand this is filtering through to the Secondary School system and making the problem even worse.... now is the time to act to provide much needed additional places in our area. This can not wait.
We intend to apply to the Department of Education for an All-through school on the St. Ursula's site in Westbury-on-Trym.
We need your support - please sign this petition to show that you support the provision of extra secondary school places in the North Bristol.
We believe that an all-through-school on the St. Ursula's site is the best and most-likely way to obtain additional secondary school places. Some of those places will have to be offered to the children at the primary school on site (thereby freeing up places at other schools which would otherwise be taken up by them), but it will also provide additional new places for our children in the local area.

We have reached the two hundred and fifty signature mark today. I am now finalizing the formal proposal document for submission to the Department of Education representatives.

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with the local planning department later this week. I am currently finalizing the evidence dossier to ensure our proposal for the site transition is prioritized on the agenda.

We have reached one hundred signatures. I am currently finalizing the formal brief to present our case for an all-through school to the Department of Education officials.

With a child currently in Year 4, I am increasingly concerned about the lack of senior schools in the BS9 area. the new Bristol Free school looks great, but will surely encourage more families to move to this catchment area, and then may become oversubscribed itself.
yes, I agree there should be a secondary school about st ursula's shool, because there is no secondary school near bs9, my many friends say like this.
hope this happens, would save us so much travel time every morning.
my son is in year 4 and we are already stressing about where he can go. there is basically nothing close by, this is a great idea.
WE NEED THIS SO BAD. BS9 has been ignored for too long with school places, st ursulas is the perfect spot.
this would be ideal for our children

A secondary school in this area is absolutely essential, i grew up in henleaze and would have loved to have stayed in the same area after junior school
