This petition is due to APS trying to tell me my dog is fat.n i must take her to a Vet..or if i can't afford one I can surrender her or have her put down.!?!... She is overweight happy, 11 yrs old n loved n cared for and in no distress...
I have finished drafting a formal response to the APS department regarding their recent directives. My next step involves coordinating with a legal advocate to review the language in their mandate before I deliver the documentation.

The increase in support has moved this issue onto the radar of local office representatives. I am currently drafting a formal letter to APS to demand a review of their intervention policies.

This is a happy healthy dog; not under nourished and not a dog that has to starve and stay outside tied up with no affection; no reason to take this dog from its loving owner!!

This is unreal!! I understand in situations where an animal is out all day long with no water, shelter etc. But this is going WAY TOO FAR!!! If only the system worked this well for children who actually need nosey neighbours to watch out for them.

Unfair to put a dog down that is loved so much and taken good care of . Just because overweight I say unfair to the poor dog and family that this is even going this far

Unbelievable, they should put their efforts on a animal that actually needs help. if it is a neighbor dispute they should have minded their own business. The APS should just apologize and move on.

The officers need some training on what happens to many dogs when they reach old age. They thicken up around the belly! There is no distress here. Stop playing games that endanger the right to live of a happy dog!

Animal control should be concerned about animals in distress. Yes this dog is chubby but she is an old happy girl .
