Parents, family, and friends of the great young men participating in the football program at SAA, help us to get our voices heard! Right now there are kids and parents that are very upset, because the leadership of the football program seems indifferent to our problems and concerns. Perhaps a petition will be the first step in getting those in charge to make some changes in how they listen to and address the parents and players. Unfortunately this problem is not isolated to a few people. So many feel left out, they pay their money, and there the input ends. We owe our kids so much more than that. Bylaws need to be available to the membership, who should also have input into what goes into them. Meetings need to be held where parents feel free to ask questions. Adult egos have no place in a youth organization. This is not a club for a select few, this is about the kids, plain and simple. Membership should not decline and the program be allowed to languish because the few shut out the many, and there's no recourse for problems. This is a nonprofit corporation, and there is help on several fronts for the members. There are ways to pursue a resolution if the leadership is unwilling to give our kids the experience they deserve, and this is just the first step. Many of these boys have played football for years, and truly love the game. The discouragement and lack of morale is really a shame. They deserve so much better than that. If you care about the kids of Enon and want them to have the best, or if you know a child in the Enon community that has quit, or leaves the field each day with his head down, please take this first step by signing the petition. What started out with so much promise has lost it's magic for many, but we can get this program back where it needs to be. Scott Athletic Association cannot be allowed to go on like this...
