This online petition has one goal, and that above all is to allow the voices of Saks Community to be heard. With the recent occurrences that have taken place at the youth sports complex and the decisions that came after to place indefinite bans, numerous family’s in the community want to see the board re-evaluated and reorganized with the correct people. If you sign this petition, that will count as your vote that “yes, the current board needs to be disassembled, reevaluated and reorganized to ensure the future of SYA.” Recent President Tony Coogler needs to be brought back as acting president so that with his knowledge and community support the park can stay running with minimal confusion. He was able to bring the park back from extreme debt and keep the board and park organized before, and is the perfect candidate to bring in a new board and keep the park up and running.
Once this happens the bans that were placed can be looked at with fresh eyes and re-voted on.
The park bylaws will also be looked at and updated as well as new policy’s and procedures will be voted on.

Seeing 250 names on this list gives me so much hope that we can finally get our park back to normal. My kids miss the fields more than I can explain and this shows the board that we are not going to be ignored.

Anytime Saks youth needed support regardless of sport I'd find out through Mark. Man dedicates a lot towards Saks youth. Rare to find that. I only know what I've been hearing and it's that he was protecting his family. Would hate it if he's banned due to that.
As a k-12 Saks alumni, I am very dissappointed with the example that has been made. As a community and as a school we scream that bullying is bad, but in the case of a woman who has given her all to saks youth she and her husband are punished for being the victims.
my child has been in ball since she was 8 years old. My grandson has been in since he was playing T ball. This is a shame. We need Tony Coogler back and the bi-laws be followed. Mark has been such a positive role model for our boys. Mark has done so much for our kids and worked so hard on our fields making everything sure everything is up to par. Bring him back!!!!!!!!
Mark Wilson should NOT be banned from Saks Youth Activities! He did nothing criminally wrong. He did what ANY good husband and dad would do. He defended his wife & child! I've personally known him for 20+ years & have NEVER EVER known him has a "danger" to anyone! Mark is a great dad, friend, coach, & husband. This decision needs to be reconsidered! Thanks, A former Saks Wildcat.
I don’t think it’s right you ban a man for protecting his family fighting isn’t always the answer but in this case when the other ppl involved have weapons and are trying to use them and he only has his hands and deals with the guy a way a real man suppose to that’s wrong to ban him

I am not from Saks but I have a grandbaby that plays ball there. What went on should not have happened in front of the kids.that should have been handled somewhere else like adults.i don't blame him for taking up for his family because I would take up for mine but I think it should not in front of the kids.they were innocent in all this. I think personally you should bring Tony Coogler back because he ran that great at Saks and he knew what he was doing. As for banning I think it should be reevaluated and I honestly think people need to act like adults and respect the children.

If I remember anything about that field growing up it's that it used to be a great place to go and everyone felt like they belonged. Last time I saw it it reminded me of a ghost town. Something needs to be done to keep that part of the community beautiful and alive.
