The scale of this feedback confirms that my frustration is shared by so many of you. It is exhausting to fight this fight every day but seeing this momentum keeps me going.

These scooters are a for-profit, private initiative that do not provide community resident benefit. They should not be encouraged nor supported by our public institutions and should not be granted special privileges to use public space.

We have a home in La Jolla Shores for over 20 years.
Since the scooters have arrived I have had to dodge scooters to keep from being hit on the sidewalk of Girard. They are left in front of homes in the neighborhood. They are a nuisance and dangerous.

The se scooters are a dangerous and a menace, not just for the riders, but everyone else also. My wife tripped over one left lying haphazardly on the sidewalk and broke her arm on 8/4. earned a cast for weeks and months to rehab. Ban them completely.

I am, myself, a victim of a reckless, drunk scooter operator on the PB boardwalk. Severe head trauma was the result. As a member of PBTC, I am adamantly opposed to the vast, unregulated numbers of scooters that are quite literally littering our streets.

Unfortunately, it is largely the bad behavior too many of the people who rent and ride these scooters who cause the problems. I don't see the level of enforcement needed to change this behavior happening so I don't see a solution other than the ban.

I’ve had to deal with scooters left blocking my garages. They have been dumped outside my front gate and I’ve tripped over them. I have a family member who is in a wheelchair and it is a constant challenge for him to access the sidewalks easily and safely.

People are dying unnecessarily due to these scooters, they are very dangerous and should be banned to help save lives.

A rider on a scooter crashed into my friends van last night at the cross section off ramp for 2nd Street downtown. The rider claimed his brakes went out, got up and left the scene. He was going top speed. My friend didn’t even see him coming. These scooters are a menace and need to be banned!!
