Uniforms have pros and cons. It causes students to look more professional, look at personality other than material clothes, and reduce gang activity. But there are also lots of cons. It restricts the student's form of self expression, makes dress code violations more hectic, and makes the student feel as if their opinion on the subject doesn't matter. Uniforms can also have an affect in the budget of lower class families who can't afford new clothes. Instead of a uniform policy, make stricter punishments on the existing dress code.
