I have been reading your messages about how unfair it feels to have rules that only target one specific thing. This issue is about making sure students are treated with the same level of respect regarding what they wear.

Seeing this momentum grow proves that so many of you are tired of the double standards in our school hallways. It feels validating to know I am not the only one who sees how unfair these policies have become for our kids.

As a US Marine I am all about fairness & equality. I find it racist of the schools & these liberal groups to go after such a thing as an historical flag or monument while ignoring the racism shown by men like Malcolm X, Louis Farakkan, and the lists go on. If they are to ban Southern Pride then in all fairness they must do away with Latin Pride, Black Pride merchandise ect. Along with gang colors. After all the Latin Kings are race specific as are many gangs. I think this shallow, racist & one sided of the ones attacking a flag that fellow soldiers died under while ignoring the racism of their own people & the things other races use to seperate themselves from us as a society

A flag cannot be racist as it is an inanimate object and is incapable of thought and emotion, but the Confederate Flag represents my Southern Heritage. By the way blacks served in both the Union and the Confederate Army but only in the Confederate Army were they paid the same wage as white soldiers so since the Union army paid blacks less than white soldiers just which side was the real Racist one?
