The Southfields Village Community and its resident associations are opposed to the opening of Tesco stores on the site of the 'Grid Inn' Replingham Road. The site is not appropriate for the area which already has good local shopping experience, deliveries and late night off licence. At the time of setting up this petition, we understand that the site (As will the proposed Sainsbury site) will remain derelict throughout the coming year where Southfields will be a host of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and the Olympic games. They are running the area down through greed, buying up property without intending to use the premises and allowing properties to become derelict. SAY NO NOW.
