To Jay Schneiderman, Southampton Town Board, and Southampton Planning Board.

I am a property owner in Southampton and am 100% against any moratorium being imposed and/or any new restrictions imposed on Building, Constructing, Improving, Expanding, or Zoning changes within Southampton Township boundaries and any of its “Towns”, “Villages”, or “Hamlets” other than the normal and present Southampton Building and Zoning Codes.

Now is not the time to be putting up roadblocks for our workers and property owners within our town and the local economy’s fragile state. Any restrictions will only increase costs to property owners and hinder local business owners, employees that live and work in Southampton Township.

You and the Southampton Town board should be protecting Southampton property owners and taxpayers. Southampton property owners have paid incredible amounts of money to purchase property and enjoy our properties unencumbered.

As a property owner I support the local economy infrastructure, and local employers. Those local employers include restaurants, delis, retail stores, hardware stores, lumberyards, pool companies, landscape companies, architects, and real estate agents. Each person or employee within this sector rely on all of these venues for support and each other. We all rely on each other to survive and grow as a vibrant community.
This is the time to be supportive of local commerce and be supportive of your constituency and property owners not be restrictive!

I/we below are 100% against any proposed building moratorium within any portion, Southampton Township and any of it’s Town, Villages or hamlets.
