we actually did it and the planning board voted against the re-zoning request tonight. im honestly shocked but so incredibly happy that our neighborhood stayed the way it is. keep an eye on the property just in case but for now we celebrate.

On Tuesday, October 4th at 7PM at Township Hall there is a hearing regarding a proposal to re-zone "Phase 3" of Wolverine Country Club from R-1 (Single-Family Homes) to R-2-L (Residential Multiple Family Low Density) and intend to build duplexes. THIS IS NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE SURROUNDING ZONING AND WILL CREATE A TRAFFIC NIGHTMARE AND POSE SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUES.

Please sign and share this petition with your neighbors! Hopefully you can attend the meeting to share your disapproval of this request, but if you can't, your assistance with the petition is appreciated!

The county doesn’t address the roads as it is (still wondering if 25 mile east of Romeo Plank is going to be reverted to dirt road). The infrastructure cannot sustain the single family density as it is let alone multifamily. Macomb Twp quickly going from desired location to miserable one.

My home backs up to 25 mile rd. and just within 2 years the traffic has gotten so bad, its a safety issue for my pets. This new rezoning would only make this so much worse. Please do not rezone this area!

I think we have enough blight in the area from unfinished condominium/duplex's. We just sold a duplex in an unfinished complex and signed to build a new home in wolverine and now this. We don't want this. It will erode property values in addition to the traffic concerns.

This would be a very disappointing move on the township if they allow this type of housing. I have been in he area for over 10 years and just recently purchased and built a new home on 25 mile and Romeo plank and would hate to see condos or duplexes in the area. Traffic is bad enough already.

It's already a traffic nightmare getting in and out of my sub. This would further congest the already tired roads. With many of the kids in my sub now getting their drivers licenses I worry about them trying to turn in and out of the sub. This is a bad idea.

We bought our house in the Country Club subdivision in Macomb Township and Macomb Country because of the more rural feel and less traffic of Oakland County. Please do not compromise our quality of life and value of our homes.

I live down the road from there. If this happens this area will be ruined. There's already enough traffic and people.
