We, the undersigned, are residents of the Broad Run District and take issue with the proposed Moorefield Station Parking Solution. We strongly oppose placing parking meter kiosks throughout the Westmoore residential neighborhood. While we understand the need to limit on-street parking related to the metro, we are firmly opposed to any proposal which establishes metered parking in a residential-only community. Metered parking will encourage non-resident parking rather than deter it and will further reduce already limited parking spaces for Westmoore residents. Loudoun County should not utilize the Westmoore property owners as an additional revenue stream - Moorfield Metro neighbors already pay a Metro tax and should not have to pay for parking on their streets as well.
Westmoore should be designated a Residential Parking District where parking violators will be towed at the owner's expense.

The sheer volume of people joining this fight proves that Loudoun County cannot simply treat our homes like a cash grab. The Board of Supervisors is clearly ignoring our neighborhood needs to pad their pockets and we are going to force them to listen.

Please don’t implement this policy. I suggest that you reserve the parking for residents only issuing them free stickers for their cars- 4 per famil plus reusable guest passes. Then signs that say parking reserved for residents only- others will be towed.
Parking already sucks for me and my roommates. When friends come over they’re having to park too far as it is. We pay enough for rent. No Meters! No Toll Booths! No limitations!
Metered Parking in a residential community ??? i didnt sign up for this while buying the townhome. There will be no privacy and community will be a parking lot for metro station. Please dont turn this community to a parking lot and let us keep this community healthy. Big NO for Parking meters in westmoore.
When we purchased our property, we were not informed that our community/residential streets will be a public metered parking area. Please stop using our residential community as another revenue channel by damaging our property value and our children’s safety due to the heavy traffic caused by the metered parking.
Residents shouldn't be punished and have to pay an additional fee for parking especially after we had to pay a metro fee for over 3 years. Adding parking meters is only going to encourage people not from our neighborhood to come park here.
Metered parking will destroy the look of our community and discourage people from moving into our community.

As residents we shouldn’t have to pay to park in front of our own house. If we had known the county was going to propose meters and paid parking we wouldn’t have bought in Westmore.
