Hell no! I bought my house in 2021! I am 24 years old and I plan to stay in Loudon County for my future. However, these kind of tyrannical moves to immediately devalue my newly purchased property right off the bat, based on a so called solution to a problem that does not even exist! This kind of change to my property usage and value is abysmal public policy and I implore you to reconsider!

Just moved to Metro Walk, haven’t paid my first assessment or mortgage payment yet. Since I live in a condo, I’ll be depending on street parking. I strongly oppose both a district and short term meters. Neither are practical for people who live here. A district is very restrictive and is not a solution that would benefit the greater good. Short term meters would require paying attention to the time and feeding meter to avoid a ticket. I moved to the suburbs to get away from the hustle and bustle. Ashburn is not downtown LA! Please reconsider this order. This order doesn’t fit the area.

We are located at Metro Walk and just moved in. We strongly disagree with this proposal to put in parking meters. We should not have to pay to park at our own homes. We already pay increased taxes to live here due to the metro. There is not enough parking at many of the new homes being built in this area as well, many don’t have driveways. We should be able to have free parking in front of our homes and family and friends should not have to visit and pay to park. Please consider other solutions to this issue that have been previously proposed as well,

As many others have noted, I oppose the metered parking system as currently proposed by the County for the Roads within the Westmoore Community. As an alternative, I would suggest a residential parking permit system - including visitors passes - and that the public streets be designated residential permit parking only M-F, 9-5. This is similar to how many other counties in the region have handled parking near the metro and would allow reasonable use of public streets without creating an incentive or opportunity for commuters to avoid paying for metro garage parking.
