- A developer has proposed REZONING of the property at Alafaya Trail and Beasley to allow a 92 UNIT LOW INCOME APARTMENT COMPLEX.
We ask for no zoning change on this parcel; instead leave the original plans of an assisted living facility or commercial property at that site.
How would allowing this directly impact us?
1) increase traffic by 200-300 more vehicles
2) increase school population
3) decrease our property value
4) increase crime rates by unsupervised children when a single parent is working
5) affect adjacent single homes resident’s privacy by allowing the apartment tenants to look into their yards 24/7
6) affect adjacent residential street by potential tenants using residents streets as shortcuts to avoid traffic on Alafaya- which have no side walks or speed bumps to protect playing children or school bus pick up areas
A group of local residents have decided to put this petition together in an effort to stop this approval. This proposed rezoning has passed one board meeting.

Our schools are already too full. My English class there are not enough seats and we don’t have enough compute in technology or chairs.
This apartment complex will have full view of my backyard! I will lose my privacy in my own home! This is completely unfair!! Not only As a homeowner, a resident of Oviedo and as a parent. My children play and swim in my yard and it frightens me that people will have the ability to look down on them when they shouldn’t be able to! Stop this apartment from being built!!!
The area is already badly over-built as politicians cash in on the college nearby. It's already nearly impossible to get onto Alafaya most of the day, and this will increase traffic at the Chapman/ Alayfaya intersection. The developers are using their big money to steam roll over families who got their first homes for themselves and it is unfair to force them into rental low income issues when they worked so hard to get out of it. Not just this project, but it's time Seminole County slow down the growth and drive the carpetbagging politicians out of power. Please sign if you care about the county overall.

Low rent but high above! Will have view of the whole neighborhood! No privacy! I’m opposed any high density Building to be build in this neighborhood!
Concern for what other activities will come about because of this. Concerned for the fact that I bought My house originally because of the location and what It had to offer.

My grandchildren live in the neighborhood right next to this. I am very concerned about the increased traffic this will bring on their street. How are you going to keep the apartment residents from cutting through the neighborhood? It also takes away my family's their privacy since anyone in the higher floors of the apartments will be able to look right down on them in their back yard. This is a huge mistake. It will increase crime, bring down property values and affect the quality of the schools with the increased number of students.
