I am honestly stunned to see how many people have joined this effort since I first started it. If we can reach that one thousand mark before the village meeting begins tonight it would show the board exactly how many neighbors care about our community. This momentum belongs entirely to you and I am just so grateful to be part of the group you have built.

This goes against everything GE stands for......not to mention the safety, environmental and neighborhood impact! You come and live behind this gas station, I'm sure your vote would change to NO! Buy my house when I can't sell it!!!!

The impact on traffic would be terrible. It's already congested on this corner at rush times. Children are walking to school just a block away. Maybe a scaled down version but not a 12 stall gas station. Glen Ellyn isnt built for that sort of congestion.

The gas station does not make sense as there was one previously on the site that closed down. Also, there is no need for a 24 hr food mart with 7-11 and a 24 hr Walgreens close by. Please work on attracting businesses that will enhance our village.

Have we learned nothing from the past? It took about 10 years to clean up the mess and contamination from the last gas station on that property. Yes, we need commercial development and tax money, but surely we can find something more appropriate for our community.

I cannot believe the Village would allow a gas station 1 block from a grade school. Increased emissions from gas transfers to cars, as well as when gas is supplied to the pumps, plus idling cars at the station have to raise health concerns. Unbelievably bad idea.

As much as I'd like to see Glen ellyn receive the revenue, this is NOT the part of Glen Ellyn that should have a business like this. It belongs on a large commercial area like Roosevelt Rd. This project is very inappropriate for 5 Corners.

I am concerned about the additional traffic in an area that is very congested and even worse during school hours. I also don't like the idea of gas fumes leaking into the schools HVAC system that is not equipped to handle the small but potential negative results (see source) https://ceds.org/gasstation/; https://www.indianaenvironmentalreporter.org/posts/gas-stations-emit-10-times-more-benzene-than-previously-recorded; https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/is-it-safe-to-live-near-gas-station/

We are looking at possibly moving to Glen Ellyn and the gas station would be a deal breaker for us.
