I am concerned about the additional traffic in an area that is very congested and even worse during school hours. I also don't like the idea of gas fumes leaking into the schools HVAC system that is not equipped to handle the small but potential negative results (see source) https://ceds.org/gasstation/; https://www.indianaenvironmentalreporter.org/posts/gas-stations-emit-10-times-more-benzene-than-previously-recorded; https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/is-it-safe-to-live-near-gas-station/

We are looking at possibly moving to Glen Ellyn and the gas station would be a deal breaker for us.

We are raising our children who love this town and believe their future will be established in the town of Glen Ellyn. We will protect our town and join each cause that supports the idea of maintaining and preserving it.

This Board is ruining the character of the town. I'm glad others see it. There also id no reason for more condos downtown or a larger train station. residents are already paying for an unneeded 10 mil. Police station

There is a big corporate doing the same thing in our town (Cary, NC). The gas station, already approved and development beginning soon, will be right next to the elementary school and residential houses and wellness center (300 feet), and also within one block of three daycare facilities. Really appreciate what you guys have been doing, wishing someone could do the same for our city. Best of luck to your battle!
We've got over 1400 signatures that the city ignored.

We absolutely DONOT need a gas station at 5 corners. Three have already failed there, with the site being environmentally cleaned up. No way...

Dusage County saturated with these deplorable toxic and unhealthy food spaces and is a deliberate plot to bring down property values and land grab to get people to move

Where are the other convenience store owners from that area? Where are the other gasoline station owners in that area? The People of Glen Ellyn deserve more creative and common sense decisions regarding zoning for businesses. Allowing an out of state business with lawyers on retainer to open and operate does not create anything more than a city THAT IS BEING USED (and maybe abused).

This plan is despicable. How dare you place a gas station so close to a grade school just so you can reap the tax benefits. It will decrease property values and the value of our town. Do the right thing and stop this plan.

adding a gas station to this small space and corner is ridiculous specially considering the surrounding residents including the safety of the school

This is our “Gateway To Our Community”. No need for any more gas stations in this area, and, I can’t believe they just spent all the time and money to clean up that corner, and then they would even consider putting in another gas station!!! Absolutely reduculous!

we dont need more gas stations and the intersection is already complicated and dangerous enough as it is. The last thing we need is more traffic points there.

Five corner is no good place for gas stations, as it is already a very accident prone area. Adding gas station will only add to it more an will make such busy corner even more busier and un safe.

No to gas station! There's already a gas station down the road. We don't need another. Especially one that sells liquor and is in close proximity to Forest Glen!
